Atlantic City Money Show Provides Educational Dividends at the Atlantic City Convention Center August 5-7, 2004

Atlantic City, NJ, July 2, 2004 - If you're interested in investing, the nation's premier personal finance and investment education conference, The Money Show, will provide in-depth financial forums led by nationally recognized investment analysts, money managers and economists. The three-day event is scheduled for Thursday, August 5 through Saturday, August 7, 2004 at the Atlantic City Convention Center, and is expected to draw 5,000 individual investors.

Admission to The Atlantic City Money Show is free if you register by August 2. The show does offer some optional, paid intensive programs for investors seeking even greater depth or more specialized information.

The Wall Street Journal has called The Money Show, "one of the largest gatherings of individual investors in the U.S."

This year's Atlantic City Money Show focus is "The Best of Wall Street," and more than fifty of Wall Street's most renowned investment analysts will be on hand to offer their viewpoints. Opening ceremonies, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, will be hosted by Paul Kangas, co-anchor of Nightly Business Report and will feature such investment industry luminaries as:

  • Lawrence Kudlow of Kudlow & Cramer who will present a presidential election year economic and political update
  • Ralph Bloch, the frequently-quoted chief market technician at Raymond James & Associates, who will evaluate current market conditions
  • Edwin Finn, editor and president of Barron's and chairman and editor-in-chief of SmartMoney, who will address how to prepare your portfolio for the unexpected
  • Steve Forbes, president, CEO and editor-in-chief of Forbes, who will present "The Impact of the Presidential Elections on Your Portfolio,"
  • Sam Eisenstadt, research chairman of Value Line, Inc., who will present "Value Lie Rankings: A Quant Approach to Stock Selection
  • Knight Kiplinger, editor-in-chief of The Kipplinger Letter, Kiplinger's Personal Finance and KiplingerForecasts.com, who will discuss the impact of globalization on America's future.

Seminars and workshops throughout the three days will provide advice designed to address a number of individual investors' information needs, including free seminars such as "Making the Most of Your Investment Portfolio with Options" presented by the Options Industry Council, "Building Profits with REITs," "How High Can Gold Go," a Forbes Newsletter editors roundtable on Friday, August 6 at 3:15 p.m. and a Standard & Poor's investment outlook on Saturday, August 7 at 4 p.m.

Throughout the conference, the free exhibit hall will showcase hundreds of investment products and services. Attendees will be able to examine high-tech trading software, newsletters and books, and meet with a variety of service providers.

An Investment Masters Symposium, an in-depth, custom-tailored conference-within-a-conference with limited seating, is available for a separate registration fee ($545 before July 23; $645 thereafter) and will feature the most compelling financial topics of the day as well as some exclusive events.

Prior to the opening of The Money Show, on Wednesday, August 4, Value Line will present their Investment Analyzer 3.0 class from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for those who want to learn how to use the software to select and evaluate stocks. There is a registration fee for this full-day Value Line seminar, which includes seminar materials, lunch and a gift certificate towards a Value Line annual subscription.

Registration for The Atlantic City Money Show is free through August 2. After that date, registration must be completed onsite for a $49 processing fee. Registration includes most of the seminars, but several, such as the Wall Street Power Lunch, will require ticket purchases, which are discounted if purchased before July 23.
