Atlantic City Classic Car Show & Auction, East Coast’s Largest, Gets Into Gear February 26 - 28, 2010

Lowest fees for buyers, same-day pay for sellers

Atlantic City -- Whether you’re buying or selling, the Atlantic City Classic Car Show & Auction with the lowest buyer fees of any major auction in the country and with same-day pay for sellers is a must-be-there event. It’s the East Coast’s largest indoor classic car show and auction, featuring more than 1,000 cars for sale, 600 in the auction and 500 more in car corrals and salons. At least 60,000 enthusiasts and collectors are expected to browse, buy and admire this premier collection presented by G. Potter King, February 26 - 28, at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

Auction highlights will include rare roadsters and touring cars of the early 1930s as well as popular classics of the '40s, '50s and '60s. This year, the show is offering the first ten and last ten automobiles offered for auction each day with no buyer’s fee. New this year is online bidding and phone bidding. Pre-registration is required.

In addition to the auction, owners will be selling directly to the public more than 250 vehicles in the Car Corrals; '50s, '60s and '70s models in the Car Canopies; specialty cars valued from $35,000 and up in Specialty Cars; and sought-after classics priced from $75,000 and up in the Car Salons.

Additionally, an Automotive Flea Market will offer hard-to-find parts and fenders, bumpers, engines and bolts. Antiques, too, will tempt attendees in booths featuring period jewelry, art, furniture and much more.

The event, in its 37th year, will run Friday and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.; and Sunday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Admission will be $20/adult; $5/child under 12; 25% discount/group of 20 or more.

To purchase online tickets, view a digital catalog of the automobiles, bidder pre-registration, the procedure for selling your classic car (15 years or older), hotel reservations and much more information, go to http://www.acclassiccars.com or call 800.227.3868 outside New Jersey, 856.573.6969 within New Jersey.

At 7 p.m. on Friday, February 26, the auction activity will shift temporarily to the ballroom of the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa as 50 “best of the best” go up for bidding. The bidder registration fee of $150 is required. A preview will be open to the public, 3 p.m. - 5 p.m., for a $20 at-the-door admission. Known as the “hottest ticket in town,” this event features automobiles valued at $100,000 to $2.5 million. More info is at http://www.theclassicsattheborgata.com
